Welcome to Rongros, literally translated as “the house of flavours”.
This place is born from our desire to share with our friends the precious childhood’s memories of our own; the warm scents and the taste of our family’s cooked meals that always gave us a sense of comfort and joy. Here, under this roof, we recreate the heartwarming dishes with the recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation within our family.
Aside from our own story, this little diner also has its own history to tell as well. This place was once just a “Rongrod” or parking garage belonging to a local merchant family. Passing by it one day we noticed the garage doors left open. Overcame by curiosity we peeked through a hole in rear back wall. We immediately fell in love with what we saw. The heart stopping view, the cracked walls and peeling paint together with that rare sense of history. The old way of life that’s still preserved in this neighbourhood made this a perfect choice for our modest eatery. We knew straight away that this garage would one day become the place to share my foodie memories with all my friends.
